Schools/Colleges Acupressure Awareness Project

It was decided by the Sansthan to spread awareness of acupressure therapy through the medium of school/college students and teachers. The schools/colleges acupressure awareness project was accordingly launched on 17 Jan 04. The first such awareness programme was conducted at Allahabad Degree College on this day. The programme was attended by 200 students and four teachers. A total of 20 awareness camps were held in various schools and colleges of Allahabad and neighboring areas in 2004 and attended by 3740 students and 284 teachers. All these camps were coordinated by Sansthan’s vice president Shri Shyam Sundar Saraf and conducted by him with the help of members of the Sansthan.


Holi Milan Function: 8 Mar 04

Holi milan function was held in the Sansthan’s premises on the evening of 8 Mar 04 to enable all members of the Sansthan and their families to greet each other on the auspicious occasion of Holi. A cultural programme by members of the Sansthan was also organized on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, the Sansthan’s president Shri Mata Prasad Khemka and senior vice president Shri J.P. Agarwal conveyed their good wishes to all present.

Visit of Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, Honorable Minister of Human Resource Development, Government of India to the Sansthan: 10 Mar 04

 Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, honorable minister of human resource development, government of India visited the Sansthan at Allahabad on10 Mar 04. He was accompanied by Shri Nagmani, central minister of state of social justice and empowerment. Dr Joshi was given a grand reception at the Sansthan’s training hall. Sansthan’s president Shri Mata Prasad Khemka presented the honorable minister with a shawl, memento and coconut. The Sansthan’s president Shri Mata Prasad Khemka and senior vice president Shri J.P. Agarwal, in their welcome speech, apprised the honorable minister of the Sansthan’s activities in its various centers spread across the country.

Other speakers on the occasion emphasized the effectiveness of acupressure therapy and requested Dr. Joshi to use his good office to help the therapy in getting recognition from the central government. The distinguished speakers on the occasion included the ex deputy mayor of Allahabad and presently the Sansthan’s vice president  (public relations) Shri Murari Lal Agrawal. Dr. Joshi in his speech appreciated the yeomen service being rendered by the Sansthan towards the society and assured of all possible help in obtaining government recognition for the therapy.

Guru Purnima Celebrations: 2 Jul 04

 A special Guru Purnima function was held at the Sansthan premises on 2 Jul 04. The function commenced with the Sansthan’s president Shri Mata Prasad Khemka and senior vice president Shri J.P. Agarwal garlanding the photographs of Prof Park Jae Woo and Shri Devendra Vora. Thereafter, Shri Khemka addressed the gathering and stressed the importance of this day. The function ended with all members of the Sansthan offering floral tributes to the Sansthan’s gurus Shri Khemka and Shri J.P. Agarwal.


Advanced Level 17 Days Residential Training, Allahabad: 3-20 Jul 04

A new advanced level training programme was introduced by the Sansthan during the year to provide in depth acupressure training to limited number of out station trainees. 50 trainees from 14 states enrolled for this training. Students were accommodated at the near by Regal Guest House. The training programme was the brain child of Sansthan’s vice president Shri Shyam Sundar Saraf and he took upon himself the role of chief coordinator of the programme. Shri A.K. Dwivedi was nominated as the training in charge. Classes were conducted by senior lecturers of the Sansthan including Sansthan’s president Shri Mata Prasad Khemka, senior vice president Shri J.P. Agarwal, Dr. G.C. Agarwal and others. A six-member team of practical trainers led by Ms. Archana Trivedi imparted practical training to the trainees. The training was inaugurated by DIG Allahabad range, Shri R. N. Singh, IPS. Two examinations were conducted during the training. All trainees were taken on a sight sighing tour of local places on 11 Jul 04. A cultural programme was also put up by the trainees towards the end of training.

Diwali Celebrations: 13 Nov 04

A Diwali mela was organized in the Sansthan premises in the evening of 13 Nov 04 and attended by a large number of Sansthan members, their families and invitees. A cultural programme by members of the Sansthan, an acupressure exhibition and free health check up camp were the highlights of the function.


Sixth National Acupressure Conference cum Super Advance Training at Allahabad: Dec 04

Sixth national acupressure conference cum super advance training was organized at Rajarshi Purushottam Das Tandon Mandapam hall, Allahabad in Dec 04. Shri K. C. Goel coordinated the event. 625 delegates from across the country attended.


Free Treatment Camps during 2004.

During the year, free treatment camps were organized by the Sansthan at Indore and Haridwar.

 


Free Treatment Camps during Various Mela in 2004

Free treatment camps were organized by the Sansthan at the following mela during the year:

 

Magh Mela, Sangam, Allahabad : Jan-Feb 04. Five camps were established in the mela area at Tulsi Marg (Sansthan’s main camp), Shri Mathur Chaturvedi Samaj, Shri Sachcha Baba Ashram, Thakur Dutt Mishra Smriti Seva Sansthan and Shri Krishna Yoga Sadhanalaya, Arail. A large number of Sansthan’s therapists led by Sansthan’s vice president  (treatment) Shri M.K. Midha provided treatment to 7075 patients during the camp. Shri S.P. Singh, Col V.K. Chowdhury (Retd), Shri S.C.D. Goel, Shri D.K. Kochar and Shri M.K. Srivastava respectively were in charge of these five camps. A Sansthan team also carried out treatment and acupressure awareness training during the All India Yoga Week held in the premises of the Magh mela camp administration.

Singhasth Kumbh Parv, Ujjain. A two-member Sansthan team comprising Shri M.G. Mishra and Shri Vishal Kesarwani provided treatment to 1500 patients during the camp.

Ardha Kumbh Mela, Haridwar : 7-18 Apr 04. A six-member Sansthan team led by Sansthan’s vice president Shri S.C.D. Goel provided treatment to about 550 patients. Shri R. K. Agarwal of Haridwar was the chief coordinator of the camp.


Free Treatment cum Acupressure Awareness Camps during 2004.

During the year, free treatment cum acupressure awareness camps were organized by the Sansthan at Rishikesh (Parmarth Niketan), IERT Allahabad (Department of Electrical Engineering) and Chandigarh.

Training Camps during 2004.
During the year, training camps were organized by the Sansthan at Bhiwani, Allahabad (Rail Track Machine Organization), Gurgaon, New Delhi, Vadodara, Kolkota, Muzaffarpur, Bareilly, Surat, Varanasi and Rajkot.
